We feel, as a group of believers, that it is necessary to open all avenues to those who are interested in learning more about the great news of hope, trust, and salvation!

The picture of the church in the New Testament is one of a family.  God is our father and Jesus is our older brother.  We have been invited into their holy family and all those who take God up on his offer become sisters and brothers.  So rather than forming an institutional church, the Bluegrass Christian Community, is formed as a family of Christians.  We have found that there really is no place like a home to experience what real families experience. 

God’s mission of bringing everyone possible into his family is our mission.  We are a mission church going to people who are lonely, broken, and wanting to start over.  Our message is God’s good news that they can find relationships, healthy life, and a new beginning through his son, Jesus.  Homes are a great tool to help us accomplish our mission.  Rather than watching church everyone in a home participates because it is a family.  Therefore everyone is honored and feels significant.  From the very first visit each person feels like part of the family.

We are not opposed to conventional churches.  We consider ourselves to be a local mission outreach of these churches.  Partnering with them we can penetrate every neighborhood in our city with the gospel.
